My name is Sophie. I am an Urban Appalachian writer. I received my MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Oklahoma State University & am now pursuing a PhD at the University of Mississippi. I write about a fractured body, heart-things, queer-things, & stars. My current project is a lyric memoir that attempts to connect these themes into constellation. I live in Oxford, MS where I drink copious amounts of black coffee & chat with my cat Bartleby—he says hello, too.
